The Reserve Bank of India has launched the Eighth Round of its Survey on Foreign Collaboration in Indian Industry for the reference period 2007-08 to 2009-10 (April – March). The survey schedule (Excel format) is available on RBI website (select Forms Þ Surveys). Corporates which have entered into Foreign Collaboration (Financial and/ or Technical) are requested to download the survey schedule from RBI website and forward the requested information in soft form by email on or before September 15, 2010. Queries for clarification, if any, in this regard, may also be emailed.

The Reserve Bank of India had instituted the Survey on Foreign Collaboration in Indian Industry in 1965, with the objective of collecting comprehensive information relating to the nature, pattern, problems and operations of foreign collaboration agreements (both equity and technical). Information collected through this survey serves as an input for the decision makers at various levels in policy formulation. The Seventh Round of the Survey was conducted in 2002 for the reference period 1994-95 to 2000-2001.
