The Reserve Bank of India today placed on its website the nineteenth release under the series ‘Mint Street Memos (MSM)’ titled “Inflation Forecasts: Recent Experience in India and a Cross-country Assessment”.

The paper authored by Janak Raj, Muneesh Kapur, Praggya Das, Asish Thomas George, Garima Wahi and Pawan Kumar analyses the inflation forecast performance based on the all India Consumer Price Index (CPI), with a special focus on identifying the episodes of large forecast errors and explaining the underlying factors.
