Minutes of the Pre Bid Meeting - SITC of EPABX cable network in Bank’s residential colony ‘Utkarsh’ at Ahmedabad

Pre bid meeting for the captioned work was conducted in the Estate Department on May 23, 2017 and was attended by representatives of M/s Joy Electronics and M/s Sharp Cure. AGM (Estate), who chaired the meeting, welcomed the two firm representatives to the meeting and invited them to raise issues related with layout etc.

Based on the suggestions on review it is clarified as below:-

  • Item of 200 pair cable (and subsequently 1000 pair MDF with Krone) stands cancelled due to apprehension of availability on demand for such quantity.

  • The EPABX will be located at Caretaker Office in Community Hall premises

  • 100 pair cables will run from EPABX system installed in Caretaker office to H and K blocks i.e. one on either side of the road and shall be terminated inside 500 pair weatherproof MDF to be installed on both these locations.

  • Three runs each of 100 pair JFA cables will run from 500 pair MDFs on either sides of the road and shall be terminated in 100 pair MDF to be installed in central Electrical duct of B/K/N buildings on one side and D/H/L buildings on the other side.

  • A distribution wiring with 10 pair cable to be routed to each wing.

  • Internal wiring is to be done in un-renovated flats as advised by Bank’s Engineer.

  • One 100 pair cable originating from caretaker office will run underground parallel to boundary adjoining Sabarmati Ashram and shall be terminated in 100 pair MDF installed in S building.

  • 2 x 10 pair cable wiring will be distributed therefrom to each of 5 occupied blocks, viz. R, S, T, V, X.

  • Since it was pointed out in the meeting that 20 mm conduit was not sufficient to carry 4 nos. 2 pair telephone wires for external telephone wiring of Class- IV flats, it has been decided that the external telephone wiring which was earlier proposed to be carried out in 20 mm round conduits, will now be done in 25 mm round ivory colour conduits of approved make.

  • Participating firms also requested that considering large quantities of 100 pair JFA telephone cables and significant amount of excavation work for laying armoured cables involved in the project, the time given for completion of the project was insufficient. It has been decided to extend the completion time from 60 days to 90 days from 10th day of award of work order.

  • Estimated cost of the project after incorporating the above changes has been revised to ₹14 lakh, therefore changing the value of Earnest Money to be deposited to ₹28,000/-. Tenderers are advised to take a note of the same as bids without/ with incorrect EMD are liable to be rejected.

  • Unit rates have been fixed for items pertaining to telephone instruments and 10 pair krone tag blocks at ₹950/- and ₹150/- respectively. Tenderers are advised to refer to Clause 42: Price adjustment for basic rate items (page 32) under “The Conditions Herein before Referred To”.

All other works will be as per scope of work specified. However to avoid any confusion, a revised version of the tender with all the above changes incorporated in it (and which supersedes the previously uploaded version) is published on the RBI’s website. Tenderers are advised to peruse the same and use it for quoting their rates. Tenderers using older version of the tender will be deemed ineligible for further participation in the tendering process.

Last date for submission of tenders has been extended up to June 02, 2017.
