Thank you for calling RBI! The Banking Ombudsman Scheme provides a cost-free and quick
resolution of complaints relating to poor services provided by the banks covered under
the scheme. If you are unhappy with the service provided by your bank and if they have
not resolved your complaint for over one month or if you are not satisfied with your bank's
reply, you can simply write your complaint on a plain paper or fill up a form available on
RBI website and send it to the RBI’s Banking Ombudsman. Complaints can be made regarding poor
banking service including delay or non-payment of deposits, delay in sanction or disbursement
of loans, loss through ATM or credit or debit cards or internet banking (without any fault of
customer), non-observance of RBI guidelines, etc. You can also appeal to the Appellate Authority
if you are not satisfied with the decision of the Ombudsman. For further details or complaint
form please visit bankingombudsman.rbi.org.in
