Conference Highlights

The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) in collaboration with Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) is organizing RBI-OECD High Level Global Symposium on Financial Education on 8-9 November 2017 in New Delhi, India.

The conference aims to stimulate ideas, discussions and solutions around implementing effective financial literacy policies in a changing financial landscape and will focus on the following topics:

  • Financial literacy in the digital age: challenges and opportunities
  • Effective delivery of financial literacy in the digital age:
    • National strategies for financial education
    • The role of public, private and civil stakeholders
    • The needs of target audiences
  • Supporting safe investment through financial education

250 high-level delegates from 60 countries are expected to attend the two-day event, including officials and experts from the OECD International Network on Financial Education (OECD/INFE), Ministries of Finance and Education, Central Banks, Regulatory and Supervisory authorities, Governmental Officials, as well as International Organizations, the Academic Community, the Private Sector and NGOs.

The conference will be held at The Leela Ambience Convention Hotel, 1, CBD Maharaj Surajmal Road, Next to Yamuna Sports Complex, New Delhi - 110032. Please note that participation in the Conference is free but all participants are responsible for their own travel and accommodation-related costs. For convenience of delegates, block booking has been arranged at the Leela Ambience Convention Hotel New Delhi. Accommodation must be reserved and paid for directly by delegates. This is only a guide. Delegates are free to choose any other hotel.
