The Reserve Bank of India has today notified that Foreign Institutional Investors (FIIs)/Foreign Portfolio Investors (FPIs) can now invest from 30 per cent to 40 per cent of the paid up capital of M/s Shilpa Medicare Limited under the Portfolio Investment Scheme (PIS). The Reserve Bank has stated that M/s Shilpa Medicare Limited has passed resolutions at its Board of Directors’ level and a special resolution by general body agreeing for enhancing the FII/FPI investment limit under Portfolio Investment Scheme from 30 per cent to 40 per cent of the paid up capital of the company. The Reserve Bank has notified this under Foreign Exchange Management (Transfer or issue of security by a person resident outside India) Regulations, 2000.
