Pre-bid meeting for the captioned tender was conducted as per the schedule on November 28, 2024 at 11:00 AM in the VC Room, 3rd floor, Reserve Bank of India, Thiruvananthapuram. Shri. Suresh Kumar K, Assistant Manager (Tech-Electrical) welcomed the participants and explained in detail the technicalities involved in the work and the item wise clarification of the schedule of quantity. 3. Subsequently, queries, were invited from the participants regarding the tender. The details of the queries raised by the contractor and the clarifications of the Bank are tabulated below: Sl. No. | Query | Bank’s Clarification | a | Clarification regarding positioning of isolation transformer | Isolation transformer (inbuilt only) shall be positioned at the UPS input side as mentioned in the tender. | b | Clarification regarding addition of parallel UPS in future. | In case of additional power requirements in the future, the increase in power should be possible by successively adding more UPS units in parallel to the UPS units. Cost of addition of UPS and cable requirements etc. will be borne by the Bank. | c | One of the contractors’ representative had stated that the industrial standard for Output voltage distortion with 100% linear load was less than 3% for linear load and 5% for non-linear load. | Other vendors agreed to supply UPS with voltage distortion less than 1% as mentioned in the tender. Hence no change in the tender specification. | d | Clarification regarding remote indication panel | It was informed that only the SITC of the Remote Indication Panel is in the scope of the contractor. The wiring / necessary cabling will be done by the Bank. | e | Clarification regarding testing of UPS system | It was informed that the UPS system shall be tested in the manufacturer's factory to ascertain the compliance of offered specifications. All the testing facilities should be available at the time of testing of UPS by the Bank’s engineers. Satisfactory performance at this stage meeting the prescribed limits will be considered for acceptance of the UPS. UPS which falls short of prescribed specifications is liable to be rejected. Further, the UPS system shall be tested at the site by the Bank’s engineer(s) for proper functioning and performance. | 5. Contractors were advised that the tender documents should be uploaded in e-Tendering portal well before the last date of bidding to avoid any last-minute errors/rush and also informed that the EMD for the work should preferably be transferred in the form of NEFT to the account provided in the Tender Document. The vendor was also advised that the bidding shall be entered by downloading the excel sheet uploaded by Reserve Bank of India in the MSTC portal. The item wise rates should be entered excluding GST. 6. Bidders shall note that, all the above clarifications provided by the Bank during the pre-bid meeting, along with details indicated in the Tender document shall form part of the Tender/Contract. 7.
