आज, रिज़र्व बैंक ने अपने द्विमासिक उपभोक्ता विश्वास सर्वेक्षण (सीसीएस)1 के सितम्बर 2023 दौर के परिणाम जारी किए। सर्वेक्षण में 19 प्रमुख शहरों में सामान्य आर्थिक स्थिति, रोजगार परिदृश्य, समग्र मूल्य स्थिति और स्वयं की आय एवं व्यय पर वर्तमान धारणाएं (एक साल पहले की तुलना में) और एक वर्ष आगे की अपेक्षाएं एकत्र की गई है। सर्वेक्षण का नवीनतम दौर 02-11 सितम्बर, 2023 के दौरान आयोजित किया गया था, जिसमें 6,077 उत्तरदाताओं को शामिल किया गया था। इस सर्वेक्षण में महिला उत्तरदाताओं का 50.3 प्रतिशत हिस्सा रहा है।
मुख्य विशेषताएं:

सर्वेक्षण के जुलाई 2023 दौर में एक संक्षिप्त टहराव के बाद वर्तमान अवधि के लिए उपभोक्ता विश्वास फिर से अपने पुन: स्थिति पथ पर लौट आया; वर्तमान स्थिति सूचकांक (सीएसआई)2 सितम्बर 2023 में वर्तमान सामान्य आर्थिक स्थिति और रोजगार की स्थिति के बारे में उत्तरदाताओं के बेहतर आकलन के कारण चार साल के उच्च स्तर पर पहुँच गया है (चार्ट 1; टेबल 1 और 2)।

सामान्य आर्थिक दृष्टिकोण के साथ-साथ रोजगार, आय एवं व्यय की संभावनाओं में अगले एक वर्ष में और सुधार होने की अपेक्षाएँ है; भविष्य की उम्मीदों का सूचकांक (एफईआई) भी नवीनतम सर्वेक्षण दौर में चार साल के उच्चतम स्तर पर पहुँच गया है (चार्ट 1; टेबल 1, 2, 5 और 6)।

भविष्य में होने वाली आय को लेकर परिवार बेहद आशावादी बने हुये हैं हालांकि वर्तमान आय के बारे में इनकी धारणा जुलाई 2023 के स्तर पर ही बनी हुई है (टेबल 5)।

उत्तरदाता एक साल पहले की तुलना में मौजूदा मूल्य स्तर और मुद्रास्फीति पर कम निराशावादी थे। हालांकि आने वाले वर्ष के लिए मूल्य की उम्मीदें नकारात्मक बनी हुई हैं, परंतु नवीनतम सर्वेक्षण दौर में इस मुख पर उत्तरदाताओं के निराशावाद में कमी आई है (टेबल 3 और 4)।
