Shri Shashikanth Boshule from M/s Gunnebo India pvt Ltd. Gist of the queries raised by the prospective bidders and Bank’s clarification on the same is as follows. Q 1: The tender document specifies that the almirahs should be forklift-friendly. Can the dimensions of the almirahs be changed for facilitating the same? Bank’s clarification- There will be no changes to the almirah dimensions. The almirah must confirm to the dimension specifications and should remain forklift-friendly as specified in the tender. Q 2: If Biometric locks are to be provided, there should be a provision for SIM card for sending alerts. However, at certain locations of the installation, it might not be possible to have proper mobile coverage. Also, electric wiring is required in the place of installation. Instead, it is recommended to use Digital locks with pin lock arrangement, and one battery would suffice to maintain the charging. Bank’s clarification – Biometric or digital / electronic locks are not required. In their bids, bidders are required to submit per unit cost of almirahs after adjusting the cost of these locks. Q 3: As per the tender page number 101, the biometric locks should be make of Godrej/ Ozone/Gunnebo/Steel age, but these locks are made by third parties not by OEMs? Bank’s clarification – The requirement of biometric locks has been dropped. Q 4: Is retrofitting required from the initial stage, or can it be done later after installation? Certain retro fitments will be carried out by third parties? Bank’s clarification - The delivered product should come with all the required fitments as post-delivery and utilization, retrofitting will not be permitted. Q 5: According to the tender on page 9, should the provision for locks be one single lock or two separate locks? Bank’s clarification – Para 1.3 (page 9) of the tender document is modified as – 1.3 Lock type: There should be two locks with keys for operating. There can be two distinct locks with two keys or lock would be a two- stage single lock with each of the two keys to operate only on one stage of the lock. There should also be an arrangement to put a padlock, externally. Q 6: As per tender page number 99, it is indicated that the 7-stage tank process is mandatory, but it is time-consuming? Bank’s clarification- The 7-tank process must be completed for the almirahs. Q 7: In the pre-qualification criteria, related to experience, net worth, etc. should the criteria be met by either the bidder or the OEM? Bank’s clarification- Either the bidder or OEM should fulfill the pre-qualification criteria provided the bidder / contractor shall ensure that proper and timely after sales support shall be provided in respect of any issue concerning all the equipment / systems supplied and installed under the contract and shall have adequate forward agreements to this effect with the authorized representatives of OEMs/ system integrators / approved dealers. Q 8: As per the tender, the Performance Bank Guarantee (PBG) should be submitted for 60 days plus 5 years, and the Defect Liability period is 2 years with 5% of Retention Money Deposit (RMD). Is it possible to submit an additional bank guarantee instead of the RMD, as the bidder would lose interest on the RMD for two years? Bank’s clarification- No change in the tender requirements. Q 9: As mentioned in the tender, powder coating is compulsory, but it may deteriorate within 4-5 years. Instead of powder coating, can the of use liquid painting be permitted, as the product already conforms to the 7-tank process? Bank’s clarification- Powder coating only is permitted as given in the tender document. Q 10: The thickness of the shelf plate is specified as 2.5 mm in the tender, but it would be preferable if it were increased to 5 mm? Bank’s clarification- It is advised to use a minimum of 2.5 mm thickness metal as per tender specifications. Q 11: Is Anchoring to the Almirah compulsory? Bank’s clarification- Yes, almirahs should be grouted and anchoring to the wall. Q 12: Delivering the first consignment, which is 25% of the order, within two weeks of the work order is challenging. Is it possible to request a revision of the percentage or timeline for the initial delivery? Bank’s clarification- The number of almirahs to be delivered in first consignment is 15 almirahs (30%), which are to be delivered within 4 weeks of issuance of work order and accordingly, payment would be done corresponding to the delivery of the first consignment. Q 13: As per the tender, the metal sheet should conform to ISO 513. However, ISO 2062 is a more recent standard. Is it possible to use ISO 2062 instead? Bank’s clarification- The metal sheet should conform to ISO 2062. Above minutes may be treated as a part of the tender. All other terms and conditions of the tender remain the same. |
