Request for Proposal (RFP) for Design, Supply, Testing and Commissioning of Currency Verification and Processing Systems (CVPS) at Offices of the Reserve Bank of India, Mumbai

Reserve Bank of India (RBI) intends to procure Currency Verification and Processing Systems for its offices.

The scope of supply shall include, besides the CVPS Machines offered and the maintenance thereof during and after the warranty period, all the concomitant training/ technical support/ incidental services/ software/ accessories, considered necessary to make the proposal self-contained and complete for operationalization of the machines. The scope will also include, in addition to adaptation during installation, additional adaptations of all denominations (current and newly introduced) of Indian banknote as and when necessary, sensor adaptations for detection of prevailing or new security features, and the price quoted in price bid for the machines should be inclusive of such services/ accessories and the Annual Maintenance Charges at a predefined rate post expiry of the warranty period. This also includes buying back nine (9) old CVPS machines across the RBI Offices.

The RFP document for the project is hosted on MSTC Limited website. Any amendment/corrigendum/ clarification with respect to this tender shall be uploaded on the Bank’s website/MSTC Limited website only and will not be published in the newspaper. The bidders should regularly check the above website/e-portal for any amendment/corrigendum /clarification/addendum and submit the bid after verification of the same. The Bank reserves the right to reject any or all the proposals without assigning any reason thereof.

Steps to be performed by the bidder:

Bidders need to register themselves on the MSTC website (https://www.mstcecommerce.com/eprocn/). Vendor registration manual is available on MSTC website. Bidder needs to have valid Digital Certificate with signing and encryption rights. The bidders are requested to ensure that they have the same, well in advance.   1. Post successful registration, bidder can access the RFP document and related annexures.

  2. Bidder can upload their respective technical and commercial bids on the above mentioned MSTC portal. It is to be noted that bidders will be able to view and access their own bids only.

  3. The last date for submission of bids is February 14, 2025 at 1500 hrs. on the MSTC website.
