The Reserve Bank's annual publication, Statistical Tables Relating to Banks in India, provides bank-level data which is accompanied by a CD-ROM version giving time series data. The scope and coverage of data in the CD-ROM version have improved over time. This edition of CD-ROM covers disaggregated time series data for 30 years (1979-2009). The CD provides a user friendly querying facility for extraction of data.

The work of the preparation of CD-ROM was organised in the Banking Studies and Risk Modelling Division, Department of Statistics and Information Management under the guidance of Shri A. B. Chakraborty, Officer-in-Charge. Dr. Balwant Singh, who retired as Principal Adviser recently, took keen interest in this publication. The publication was brought out under the supervision of Shri V. Bahuguna, Adviser, with support from Dr. N. K. Unnikrishnan, Assistant Adviser, Shri Bhaskar Birajdar, Research Officer and Smt. Shobha A. Parab, Assistant Manager. They were also assisted by Shri A. N. Patel, MSS Grade A, Shri Abraham Thomas, Assistant Manager, Smt. Priyanka P. Vanmali, Data Processing Assistant, Smt. Lata B. Gharat, Sorter Operator, and Smt. Smita I.
