NOTICE FOR EMPANELMENT OF INTERIOR WORK CONTRACTORS

Reserve Bank of India invites applications from Contractors having experience of executing large scale Interior Refurbishment/ Furnishing works of composite nature as defined in the scope of work for Empanelment for the proposed refurbishment of Executive Floor Area (ie., 17th, 18th & 19th Floors) at Bank’s Central Office Building, at Fort, Mumbai.

The work is estimated to cost around Rs 7.00 crore approximately. Duration of the Work shall be 6 months approximately.

II).  ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:

The applicant should meet the following minimum eligibility criteria for getting short-listed. Applicant,

1. Should have minimum 7 years of experience as Interior Work Contractor and should have completed similar works under any one or more of the following categories during the last 5 years ending March 31, 2009:

a) One similar composite work* costing not less than the amount equal to 80% of the estimated cost.

b) Two similar composite works*, each costing not less than the amount equal to 50% of the estimated cost.

c) Three similar composite works*, each costing not less than the amount equal to 40% of the estimated cost.

* Similar composite work means any one Premium Quality Interior Works executed for Offices with finishes of high end nature comprising the following works of Civil Interior works (floor finishing using marble/ Italian marble/ granite / wood/ carpet, wall partitions, wall paneling, false ceiling, painting), Plumbing & Sanitary, Carpentry, Air-conditioning,   Electrical Works, Telephone and Networking works, Furniture, Work-Stations etc.

2. Should have average annual turn-over of at-least Rs 700 lakh during the last 3 years ending  March 31, 2009

3. Should be profit making (each year) during the last five financial years, ending March 31, 2009, and should have positive net worth.

4. Should have sufficient number of qualified professionals to execute / supervise all specialized works mentioned under similar works.

After scrutiny, if any of the contractors is not found to possess the required eligibility, their application will not be accepted by the Bank for further processing.

Application forms will be issued from the Office of Chief General Manager, Premises Department, 13th floor, Central Office, Fort, Mumbai only to such applicants who produce documentary evidence for fulfilling the eligibility criteria prescribed above, on all working days(Monday to Friday) from 01/06/2009 to 19/06/2009 during 11.00 AM to 4.00 PM.

III).  SCHEDULE FOR SUBMISSION OF APPLICATION

IV). Application forms (in duplicate) duly filled-in along with documentary evidence shall be enclosed in a sealed cover addressed to

will be received in his office up to 3.00 p.m. on 26/06/2009.

V). No further tender notice will be published in the press for the work referred above and issue of tender forms will be restricted among the selected applicants.

VI). The Bank reserves the right to withhold the issue of application forms to any party or reject any or all the applications without assigning any reason therefor.
