The Regional Director/Officer-in-Charge
Reserve Bank of India
(All RBI Offices)
Dear Sir,
Lead Bank Scheme – Allotment of Districts to Lead District
Officers
Please refer to our Circular RPCD.No.LBS.266/08.01.03/95-96 dated February
8, 1996 regarding reinduction of LDOs in terms of which each LDO was to be assigned
3 districts. Although certain Regional Offices were reported to have allotted
more than 3 districts to LDOs, the matter has been examined/reviewed in the
light of the observations made in the Management Audit & System Inspection
Report and itk has been decided that the number of districts to be allotted
to each of the LDOs may be left to the discretion of the Regional Office in-charge.
Accordingly, the Regional Offices may consider allotting more than 3 districts,
if need be, to an LDO taking into account the staff strength and other relevant
aspects in the matter.
Yours faithfully,
(D.S.Nair)
Deputy General Manager
