Additions, alterations, and renovation by merging of 8 flats into 4 flats at Begumpet Staff Quarters - Clarification of query of Item no.38 of the tender. Modification to the description of the item at Sl. Providing, fabricating & installing Modular kitchen units, in the existing kitchen in a customized manner as per the enclosed sketches and as per the following detailed specifications.
(A) Cabinets (Box) or Carcass for fixed and movable units.
i. The cabinets or carcasses shall be made with approved make 18 mm / 19 mm thick BWP grade, IS-710 marked, marine plywood and provided with approved make, 0.80 mm thick, white / off-white shade balancing laminate pasted on interior surfaces and 1.00 mm thick decorative laminate on the other exposed surfaces of the plywood, using approved quality and make adhesives, 12 mm thick plywood of same make and grade for back panel of fixed modular units and 18mm / 19 mm thick plywood of same make and grade for the back panel of movable modular units, including providing and fixing 2 mm thick P.V.C edge banding , all as per the design shown in the enclosed sketches and as directed by the Bank’s Engineer. The entire joinery and fixing shall be customized to the site requirements and carried out in a highly professional manner. Additional supports as required at site may be provided for proper fixity / rigidity of the units. Plywood panels in contact with wall surfaces shall be treated with anti-termite chemicals before fixing the same. Approved type (P.V.C / acrylic sheets) skirtings (100mm deep) shall be provided for below counter cabinets including providing of required number of SS legs 100mm long.
(B) Providing and Fixing of Granite Platform and Granite Fascia
Providing and fixing 18 to 20 mm thick, one side polished (Jet Black granite or approved shade granite slab) over an additional 19mm thick plywood fixed over the carcass top, i.e., the plywood being placed and fixed firmly with necessary screws / adhesives over the below counter carcass and the granite slab fixed with approved epoxy resin adhesive over the plywood for kitchen platform, and with side facia of 50mm - 75mm depth depending on the site requirement, including making facing edge bull nose moulding/edge champhering with matching polishing to give high gloss finish etc. complete and sealing all joints with epoxy resin based adhesive / or any approved sealant as directed. Also, the Granite slab shall be embedded in a 25 mm x 25mm groove cut into the wall and necessary cutout shall be made for sink including filling the cutout with CM 1:3 mixed with polymer modified adhesives.The inner edges of the sink cutout of the granite shall be overlaped onto the sink edges and also be moulded/ edge champhered and polished to ensure no open joints are visible between the sink and the granite cutting. Area of the Granite to be fixed is approximately 8.00 Sq.m. including facia.
Note:
a) The finished portion of granite slab shall only be taken for measurement in sq.m and no deduction shall be made for area of granite cut for sink.
b) The rate quoted shall include cost of cutting the wall for 25mm x 25mm groove and fixing the slab with cement mortar 1:3 (1 part cement and 3 part river sand) inside the groove and finally packing the edges with silicon selant.
c) The rate quoted shall include hole for sink, cost of all materials, transportation, labour charges, curing etc. complete as directed.
c) The granite before procuring should be got approved by Bank's engineer.
d) The granite will be measured in plan and elevation only. [Basic rate of Jet black granite @ Rs. 2500/- per sq.m excluding GST]
e) The plywood shall be treated for termite before granite slab is placed over it.
f) Care shall be taken to not damage any structural element like columns, etc.,.
(C) Shutters for Base, movable unit & Overhead cabinets including shelves.
i. The shutters / shelves for the cabinets and facias / sides / carcass shall be made with 18 mm / 19 mm thick BWP grade, IS-710 marked, marine plywood and provided with approved make, 0.80 mm thick, white / off-white shade balancing laminate pasted on interior surfaces and 1.00 mm thick decorative laminate on the other exposed surfaces of the plywood, using approved quality and make adhesives.
ii. All edges of the shutters shall be, provided with approved quality and shade, 2 mm thick P.V.C edge banding.
iii. Each shutter shall be fixed to the frame with a pair of approved quality and make auto closing S.S slip-in-hinges and provided with 150 mm long S.S handles. pair of SS auto close hinges of approved make and SS rod type handles having 100 mm long, and 10 mm diameter approved make. Wherever glass panels are shown, they shall be 4 mm thick plain glass with decorative etching of approved design and pattern on edges and fixed on to the shutters with polished / painted teakwood beadings of approved size and quality.
(D) Telescopic channels.
Each pull-out / drawer shall be mounted on a pair of approved make, high precision S.S telephonic channels having 20" length. The telescopic channels shall be appropriately designed to the weight & usage of the pull-outs / drawers when loaded to full capacity. They shall be corrosion free and soft close type.
(E) Chimney hole provision.
Providing and making suitable size hole in the wall to insert the flexible P.V.C / aluminium pipe exhaust of Chimney including finishing / making good the damages with P.C.C 1:1.5:3 / C.M 1:3 along with necessary scaffolding / staging etc required for successful completion of the work.
(F) Providing and fixing Stainless Steel sink with Drain board (approximate overall size -1040 x 510 mm x 250mm and atleast thickness of 1mm approx. or as per site requirement/directed) of approved make, design and finish in the kitchen platform as under counter type in the Granite slab / Plywood as indicated in according to the size of sink, complete as directed, including cost of all material, sealant, labour charges, curing etc. complete as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge. (a) Cup & saucer basket, 21” x 20” x 4” - 1 No.
(b) Cutlery basket 21” x 20” x 4” - 1 No.
(c) Cutlery basket 15” x 20” x 4” - 1 No.
(d) Plate/ Thaali basket –– 600mm x 560mm x 720mm – 2 No (1 No. 8" /1 No. 6”).
(e) SS Plain basket 600mm x 560mmm x 720mm - 2 No (8”).
(f) Pull out – 300mm x 560mm x 720mm - 1 No.
(g) Bin tray - 1 No.
(F) Chimney hole provision.
